What is Dual Investment?
CoinEx Dual Investment is a non-principal-protected financial product involving two different cryptocurrencies. Investors can subscribe to a product using one cryptocurrency, with the final settlement currency determined by comparing the settlement price and the target price at maturity. The features are as follows:
- Buy low, sell high: Under market conditions that meet the product rules, you have the opportunity to buy below the market price or sell above the market price.
- Zero fees: No transaction fees are charged when the settlement price is reached, and the trade happens.
- Extra income: According to the product rules, users can earn extra returns regardless of market movement or whether the trade happens.
Key Concepts
- Subscription currency: The cryptocurrency used to subscribe to a Dual Investment product.
- Settlement currency: The cryptocurrency you will receive upon settlement of the Dual Investment product, determined by comparing the target price with the settlement price.
- Target price: The benchmark price compared with the settlement price at maturity to determine the final settlement currency.
- Settlement price: The average index price over the last 30 minutes before the maturity time, which will be compared with the target price to determine the settlement currency.
- Annual percentage yield (APY): The rate used to calculate the earnings from a Dual Investment product. The APY is floating before subscription. Please refer to the APY after subscription.
- Settlement time: The time when the Dual Investment product reaches maturity. Upon settlement, the principal and interest income will be credited to the user’s spot account.
- Investment period: The time from the product subscription to the settlement.
Dual Investment Rules
1. Subscription
(1) Eligibility: All registered CoinEx users (excluding sub-accounts) are eligible to subscribe to Dual Investment after enabling two-factor authentication (2FA).
(2) Subscription Limits: Minimum and maximum subscription limits vary by product. Please refer to the actual subscription details.
(3) Irrevocablity and Non-Redemable: Once subscribed, Dual Investment products cannot be canceled or redeemed before maturity.
2. Settlement

The calculation of returns varies depending on the product and settlement scenario.
Using BTC/USDT dual investment product as an example, where BTC is the base currency and USDT is the quote currency (for reference only; actual returns are not guaranteed):

(2) Settlement of Returns
When the product reaches maturity, there will be a window period for settlement (typically a few hours). Once the settlement is completed, the principal and interest income will be credited to the user's spot account. Settlement may be delayed due to system latency or technical issues, and users should fully understand and assume the associated risks.

Dual Investment constitutes a non-principal-protected digital asset investment product. The investor acknowledges and agrees that both the invested principal and any potential returns may be partially or fully lost due to cryptocurrency market volatility, regulatory or policy changes, or other unforeseeable events. All investment risks shall be borne solely by the investor, and the Platform shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or legal consequences arising therefrom.
Upon subscription, the Product shall be irrevocable and non-redeemable prior to maturity. Transactions or settlements may be delayed, suspended, or otherwise affected due to network latency, system malfunctions, or other technical or operational factors. The Platform shall bear no responsibility or liability for any delay, loss, damage, or other adverse outcome arising from any force majeure event, market volatility, or interruptions, failures, or deficiencies of any third-party services or infrastructure.
