What is OnChain?
OnChain is CoinEx’s token order service that combines the advantages of decentralized exchanges (DEX) with the convenience of centralized exchanges (CEX). With OnChain, users can trade a diverse range of on-chain assets on CoinEx without engaging directly with the blockchain, enhancing both efficiency and security. Learn more>>

How to Trade via OnChain
Buying and selling are the core operations of OnChain transactions:
- Buying involves using USDT or ETH/BNB/SOL from the Spot Account to purchase the target cryptocurrency.
- Selling involves converting the OnChain Assets held in the Spot Account into USDT.
Before using CoinEx OnChain, please bind the 2FA tool first.
Example: Buying Token A on the Ethereum (ETH) network via OnChain:
1. Buying Token A:
(1) Select the token you wish to buy by either searching for the smart contract address or choosing from the “Hot” list.
(2) Enter the payment cryptocurrency (USDT or ETH) and amount, set slippage tolerance, and confirm the estimated receiving amount.
(3) Submit the buy order and wait for the transaction to complete.
(4) The purchased Token A will be deposited into your Spot Account > OnChain Assets. They can be sold but cannot be withdrawn.
2. Selling Token A:
(1) Select the token you wish to sell.
(2) Enter the selling amount, set slippage tolerance, choose the receiving cryptocurrency (USDT or ETH), and confirm the estimated receiving amount.
(3) Submit the sell order and wait for the transaction to complete.
(4) After selling Token A, the funds will be directly deposited into your Spot Account. You can withdraw the funds or use them for another transaction at any time.
3. View OnChain assets
Go to [Assets] > [Spot] > [OnChain] to view the OnChain assets. Click History, and filter "OnChain" to view changes in your OnChain assets.
4. Notes:
(1) Transfers between Spot Assets and OnChain Assets within the Spot Account are not supported.
(2) When trading via OnChain, the payment/receiving cryptocurrency can be either USDT or the native token of the blockchain where the asset is created. For example, when trading via OnChain for the Ethereum-based assets, you can choose USDT or ETH (the native token of Ethereum).
How to Search Tokens
On the OnChain page, the Hot List is shown on the left. Switch between [ALL], [SOL], [ETH], or [BSC], and use the star icon to favorite tokens.
You can search by token name (Hot List only) or by contract address (all tokens).
Note: Trading is unavailable if:
The token has low TVL or liquidity.
The token is already listed on the Spot market.
